CentroGeo’s Lab was
established to support research, technological development and teaching.
The Lab is conformed by a multidisciplinary group (computer scientists,
programmers, geographers, graphic designers, biologists, etc.) that work
together as a team to offer adequate technological solutions. For that
purpose some of the best known software packages are applied but more
important, the group is being able to develop in-house technological
solutions that respond to specific needs to either researchers or to users
from the society.
The communications and computer
infrastructure of CentroGeo includes a computer network, Internet and
Internet 2 services, a practical classroom with 10 computers and Arc/View
software as well as variety of in-house software and a Smart Board.
